  9.     -  user control of the location of footnotes and endnotes (in the text 
  10.        where they appear or collected at the end of the file)
  11.     -  can read processing-option preferences from a file instead of the
  12.        command line.
  13.     -  can translate WordPerfect comments into the ASCII file.
  14.     -  can restrict the output file to only the "standard" ASCII
  15.        characters (no special characters)
